Superintendent's COVID-19 Update

Today is Thursday, October 29, 2020.  There are no new COVID cases to report with staff or students.

The below protocols will be followed for students/staff returning to school after being out sick with COVID and for those who were quarantined due to exposure to COVID:
  • If a person tests positive for COVID-19, that individual cannot return to school for 10 days from the date of the test.
  • When advised by the DOH, direct contacts of a positive COVID-19 case must quarantine for 14 days from the last date of contact with the positive tested individual.

The following travel advisory became effective on Thursday, June 25, 2020

If you have traveled from within one of the designated states (list is updated every Tuesday) with significant community spread, you must quarantine when you enter New York for 14 days from the last travel within such designated state, provided on the date you enter into New York State that such state met the criteria for requiring such quarantine.

Attention Parents: If your child is sent home from school, you will receive two forms.
  • One is guidance from the NYS Department of Health (click here to view).
  • The other is a Medical Provider Clearance to return to school form (click here to view form).  This form must be in your child's possession when they return to school.
